What is the human ego?
Cult and worshipping starts with our own ego. Human Ego is a cult, self created and worshiped by every human, who wants not only to worship but also to immortalise it even after the death.The history of Mummification in ancient Egypt to the wax sculptures in famous Museums, explain the same desire to immortalise the human cult- our ego.Everybody of us want to put this cult at the top of everything possible. All the circus we perform on earth is to sell this cult before the public for survival and shining.Our ego is the first ever creation on getting the knowledge “I” am. This “I” divides us from everything else and we become an individual person with an identity.Our ego is the identity to the question, who am “I”. Ego is an emotional plane created out of the non- emotional plane which is the “Awareness of the Being“. Being is the supreme eternal source where the divine awareness exists.
Awareness and human ego are like water and ice. We know the molecule of water as H2O.We know that the molecule of ice- is also H2O. But if the ice is in the water, even though both are H2O, we can distinguish water and ice. In water is the totality and ice cubes has a separate individual existence with in the water.
The human civilization is all about individualising of the human life. The modern human wants to satisfy his individualised necessities, personal dignity and abilities for an absolute free and indipendant existence, where he questions the traditional dogmas of religion, family and the culture.
Ego works more on emotions than on awareness.
Our ego is our personal emotional face book,with an exact outline of our biography with it`s two faces. The black face of our ego follows vices and the white face follows virtues. Our beliefs, knowledge and the environment Together determine our behavior which give us a relevant face both in black and white.. When ever we act, it is driven by a logic created by our perception and the environment . But every perception has so much ignorance in it. But our ego realizes only the knowledge.This is the self confinement of any human being, how ever educated or intelligent, one appears to be.
You may read this article many times,yet you may not understand what is the ego. It is our emotional environment which is a limitation in itself, evolving through out our life. The word ego is used mostly in wrong context for centuries. Our ego works like a self created CEO, working in us for it`s interests.Whatever is the interest of our ego, we become that.If we believe in Jesus, our ego tries to become like Jesus or follow what he has said.If our ego believes in Karl max, it becomes a communist and oppose anyone who is against communism. Only our emotions makes our interest.Our ignorance is what our ego ignores to accept at any time, but it works against our interests.Our life becomes a fight between our knowledge and ignorance, inside an ego environment,created by our own perceptions.Our ego is exactly like a silent volcano, which seems to be silent outside with a very turbulent inside, that can outburst at any time. That is why it is self destructive as well.When ever we engage with people, we shall not forget this.Otherwise we come in to the danger zone without precautions.
Human ego is half white and half dark.(our ignorance & knowledge). Our ego is an emotional ghost,that we create out of our knowledge and ignorance. Ego could be defined as a morbid excrescence or that which is not natural in our being.
Our ego is a personal entity of “our knowledge and ignorance” together. Our ego controls the functional awareness-the “mind” . It is our ego that creates enmity between us and others. Because it distinguishes between bad and good for our interests. It is our ego that pledges our sovereignty to others, joining with different emotional groupings,organisations and faiths according to the interest and taste of our ego.
Ego is the actor “I” in us, we are not the ego.
Then what are we? To know what we are, we need to know what all, we are not.” We” are nothing but “awareness in the being” . When the we changes in to an “I” it becomes an actor and a ghost that distinguishes from the totality. Unless we make an “ego-death“,we cannot realise our nature.That is why the ego is said to be our natural foe.It is the sole reason why we live a miserable life, in a heavenly earth.It is the sole reason why we are exploited by politics and religion.It is the sole reason why we live like slaves to our habits and emotions. Our anxiety, fear, depression and addiction -all are created by our own ego. An ego is so fragile like a thought, a dream or a legend,yet it controls our ego.It is the me and my ego that manages, ever to say, underneath all our knowledge to the contrary that “I am fine”. Mostly, our ego is waiting to tell the world,”what we are not yet”,but what is our dream.
If we have to tell people we are this or that ,in fact, we aren’t . Our ego is a fraud creation in itself. Because it contains equal amount of our ignorance as the amount of our knowledge.It can never go without fraud and lies.It is frightened to enter the world of truth.That is why our world of “politics,economics and religion” is built on mountains of fraud and falsehood.
Understanding our ego is understanding our self.
If there is a question- who are you, we all have a ready made answer . But by the next question -what are you?, we do not have a ready made answer.Because it needs a learning in to us.
Everybody speaks about an ego with in us. But our ego is not within us. It is only the creative identity in us. Only very few people know really,what our ego is. It is very difficult to understand our ego by any simple description. Still it is very important,when we want to succeed in our life.

In spirituality, especially with the theory of meditation, we need a deep under standing of our individual existence and our emotional identity . Ego is often described as a kind of illusion.But it is our functional identity, without which ,we can not be creative. Ego is all about the different aspects of our emotional personality.It is the virtual person, doing everything on behalf of us. My ego is my CEO. It is an auto generated cult that represent me as an “I” before you and the world.
We are in fact, that which is not our ego.
It cannot be understood by reading these article.It needs to be realised by each one . Because this is not a knowledge based on our logic.This is the truth that exists above all our logic.
It is a capacity to know our self.
Then what are we ? Our nature is the “spirit of consciousness in the being”. Our mind is an extension of this consciousness in the being.When it leaves the being it becomes mind awareness.Mind is a functional awareness with many complex capabilities.But it is limited in a personal environment.Every mind is very personal.I cannot know your mind.You cannot know mine.
Ego is again another extension of our mind.It is our mind that build perceptions and reasoning that generates an individual personality for us. Ego is a functional agent or C E O that exploits the possibilities of our mind. Mind is a function and ego is the actor who controls that functions.
The holy spirit of Consciousness,extends into mind and the human ego
Our mind is a functional awareness.Consciousness is also awareness but it is not functional or active. Mind is only an extension of the consciousness in to the individual existence of our ego being. Ego is the creation of our mind and the thoughts. This trilogy of spirit with different domains and different functions make the human wonder.
The mind is a spiritual being that functions like a software for the creativity of our ego being..
Spiritual mind is the root for our ego. Mind is a tool in the hands of our ego. It uses the mind and its cognitive functions like consciousness, perception, thinking, reasoning, and judgement are used by our ego to create either a virtue or an evil. Emotional reasoning is the fuel for all actions coming out of our ego.
Ego being is an extension or a product of of our own mind.
Our ego is a self survival strategy and identity that controls our life and our relations. The root of all pleasure and suffering in life is only our ego being.
Ego has nothing Beyond it`s own Pleasure Principle and creative survival targets. Pleasure and gaming is so much a part of our ego system. The “pleasure principle” of our ego seeks to avoid all that pain or displeasure that are created by our desires and the tensions to fulfill it.
Supreme being is a status of this moment, spirited by the consciousness.
The Supreme being is filled with the holy spirit of consciousness, which is fulfilled in itself. It is the base of this universe that provide the basic source of all energy.It cannot be made or destroyed by anybody.This is known as the atma. While the human mind is an extension of the supreme consciousness, our ego is another extension of our mind.We could call it our mind consciousness because it is not pure and clear like the consciousness in the being. The status of Atma is peace. that is why it is called Param Atma. When the param atma flow in to ignite the life,it is called prana.
Meditation is the realizing point of vedanta,the ultimate knowledge.
When meditation happens the spirit of our ego together with the mind enters the being and becomes the consciousness in the being.On the other hand when consciousness leave the being it becomes mind and become a functionality of thoughts.
As a normal person, when our ego and mind subsides together in to the being, we become pure spirit of consciousness in the being. This is what Jesus called a “Birth again into the spirit” to enter the heaven of the being and bliss.
This is what the spiritual science call enlightenment.

The most common threat to us is our own ego.It has many attributes of a dog.Instead of much training,the dog remains a dog.
People take ecstasy tablets,cocaine with cocktail parties and any such entertainments only to vacate the emptiness of an ego feeling.
Social pressure has to be blamed for complicating many individual lives. An individual ego seldom survives against the collective ego.
High-profile incidents of fraudulent scams reveal that there is an ugly side of smartness with in our ego profiles.
Even with all our sensuous involvements, the ego get never satiated and searches non-stop, for unexplored territories.
There is no simple remedy for our ego disorders than just understanding the ego.Ego is not that what people think, it is.
Any Psychological disorders like addiction are personal and an “ego disorder”. Ego could be corrected only with the spirit.
One side of our ego ever remains as a self-doubt.The other side of our ego is filled with our needs and a greed to survive and compete.
